These earrings have been cast from a real urchin shell, also known as a Test. Rose found this perfectly tiny shell whilst diving the north west coast of Scotland and couldn't resist taking such a cute souveneir.

The shell has been thickened on the inside to give the pendant a good weight, and a mould was taken from it. It has been cast into sterling silver and has been polished by hand to a high shine.

Aquamarine Jewellery is designed and made by scuba diver Rose Ledbury. Her designs are inspired by the ocean, and the wonderful creatures she meets when diving.

The urchin measures 16mm in diameter, by 7mm deep. It is made from hallmarked stirling silver, the full length including the hook is 35mm.
